Stiff, locked Neck
A stiff/locked neck is often due to bad posture, but there are other reasons you may be affected by a stiff, painful feeling in your neck. This may prevent you from turning your head, to the point that you can only look to the side by swivelling your entire body.
Causes may include: excessive levels of stress or anxiety, holding your phone awkwardly between your neck and shoulder, sleeping awkwardly, or a sudden fall. Often this pain will go away on its own within a week, but the stiffness can affect some more than others.
